HUGO Colace's two-month wait to make his Barnsley debut will end tomorrow.
The Argentine is set to play his first game in England at Blackpool following a summer move from Newells OB, which was snarled up in red tape.
International clearance finally arrived last week, via a temporary licence issue by FIFA. Colace played an hour for Barnsley Reserves on Tuesday and he will step into the team tomorrow as a ready replacement for injured Diego Leon.
Striker Kayode Odejayi is set to start his first game of the season at Blackpool.
The 6ft 2in centre-forward will step up as cover for Iain Hume, who was not expected back at Oakwell until this afternoon following a 10-hour flight from Mexico.
Hume played in the second half for Canada in a World Cup qualifier in the early hours of yesterday morning. Although he has two goals to his credit this season, he could be rested tomorrow.
Barnsley are otherwise set to be unchanged from the team which brought manager Simon Davey a first win of the season against Derby a fortnight ago.
Luke Steele will remain in goal ahead of Heinz Muller, who has played twice in reserve-team football since his knee operation. He is expected to be among the subs at Blackpool.
Bobby Hassell could join him on the bench despite improving the team when he replaced Leon against Derby.
Davey also has Jamal Campbell-Ryce back available after dislocating his elbow and on-loan Gary Teale, who could not play against Derby, is likely to be in the squad.
Maceo Rigters and Anderson de Silva remain out injured.
Barnsley have not won away from home since April 12 but Davey said: "We have a very tough fixture coming up against Blackpool.
"We played them three times last season and came through it undefeated so we might be a bit of a bogey side form them. Hopefully that will continue."
