BARNSLEY'S Rob Kozluk will step up to cover for red-card villain Marciano van Homoet.
Oakwell chief Simon Davey had no complaints at the Dutchman's dismissal at QPR for a horror tackle on Daniel Parejo late in the 2-1 defeat in London.
Referee Neil Swarbrick sent him off for violent conduct and a three-match suspension follows automatically.
Kozluk is set to play in Barnsley's second match of the season tomorrow night, the Carling Cup tie at Crewe.
Van Homoet's foul was a low point in Saturday's 2-1 defeat.
Said Davey simply: "It was a justified sending-off."
Barnsley went in front after Iain Hume scored on his debut.
"There's always a question-mark when you sign a player for £1 million, there's always pressure on strikers to score goals," Davey declared.
"Iain had not scored in pre-season and everyone starts to raise eyebrows, but we knew that as soon as he went into the league campaign he'd score. It was one chance, one goal."
Barnsley's other hero was Luke Steele, who kept them in it at 2-1 in the second half with a penalty save which prevented Fitz Hall completing a hat-trick.
"Steele is a good keeper. He saved the pen and is carrying on from last season's form, I'm pleased with him. I'm pleased with the players," Davey insisted.
He started with two other new faces in the team alongside Hume. Darren Moore was at centre-back and Mounir El Haimour played on the left side of midfield.
Striker Maceo Rigters came off the bench to make his first appearance following his move on loan from Blackburn for the rest of the season.
Moore was judged guilty of giving away the penalty.
"We are a stronger team. Darren Moore has come in and added a bit of steel to the back four. El Haimour on the left-hand side and Iain Hume have made us a stronger squad.
n Meanwhile, Mark Robins reckons that good times lie ahead for Rotherham United now they have put the financial problems behind them.
"I reckon there is no better time to be involved with the club than now, at the start of a new era," said the Millers boss.
The Millers, who start the season on -17 points, won their first match at Don Valley Stadium 1-0 against Lincoln City.
