JAMAL Campbell-Ryce should have been in the thick of a World Cup qualifying campaign this week. Instead he's making his comeback from injury tonight in a reserve fixture on the academy pitch at Oakwell.
While Jamaica prepare to take on Honduras tomorrow, the 25-year-old will run out against Leeds United's second string at 7pm, attempting to kick-start his season.
Campbell-Ryce has recovered from a dislocated elbow which has ruled him out of all football. He is part of a strong reserve side which will include Hugo Colace.
The Argentine midfield enforcer will be making his long-awaited first appearance in a Barnsley shirt tonight, following the delay in receiving international clearance. He will also be involved in Saturday's Championship match at Blackpool.
Keeper Heinz Muller will start his second game following his appearance on the subs' bench in the Championship fixture against Derby.
Muller made his comeback for the reserves two weeks ago after seven months out with a serious knee injury.
Barnsley assistant manager Ryan Kidd has also named full back Marciano van Homoet and striker Miguel Mostto in tonight's squad.
Missing again is striker Maceo Rigters, who is still carrying a hamstring problem.
Iain Hume, Barnsley's in-form centr- forward, is away with the Canadian international squad who play Mexico tomorrow night in the same World Cup qualifying group as Jamaica and Honduras.
Ex-Rangers winger Alan Gow is set to make his debut for Blackpool against Barnsley on Saturday.
