PHILIPPPE Priasso and his French dance company arrive in the heart of Sheffield this Friday and Saturday to stage a tender love duet between a dancer... and a 13 tonne mechanical digger.
The spectacular meeting of man and machine, set to the dramatic voice of opera diva Maria Callas, happens on Devonshire Green.
Coun Sylvia Dunkley, cabinet member for Streetscene, Culture and Leisure at the council, said: "It is fantastic that we
can attract such a prestigious company."
Twenty-minute performances will take place at 1.30pm on Friday, and 11am and 1pm on Saturday.
