DONCASTER'S Music Service has celebrated the end of 2007 in style - with a record number of exam successes for its students.
The Music Service offers lessons to pupils from 113 schools across the borough and regularly enters youngsters for instrumental exams .

A total of 423 students passed exams awarded by some of the country's leading music colleges from grade one to
grade eight and beyond, with many achieving high levels of merit or distinction.

Councillor Eva Hughes, Doncaster Council's cabinet member for children and young people, said: "Congratulations to all of our young and talented musicians who have put in so much hard work and practice to achieve their deserved success.

"I hope 2008 is a new year that brings even more musical achievements for Doncaster's young people."
