New directors at PWC Sheffield

PricewaterhouseCoopers has named three new directors at its Sheffield office - Joanna King, Andy Ward and Lyn Vardy.
Joanna King has been with PricewaterhouseCoopers for 10 years and leads the firm's transaction services operations in South Yorkshire, providing a range of due diligence services and pre and post-deal support together with deal planning and structuri
ng advice to both buyers and sellers of businesses.

Lyn Vardy joined Pricewat-erhouseCoopers in 1998, has16 years' experience in corporate recovery and insolvency and heads its business recovery services.

His clients have included Sheffield Forgemasters Eng-ineering, where he played a key role in devising the plan, which pioneered the use of a Company Voluntary Arrange-ment to restructure Forgemas-ters' pension scheme facilitate a management buy-out and avoid the collapse of the business after its former US parent group filed for bankruptcy in America.

Andy Ward is part of the assurance team in Sheffield and has responsibility for a number of audits of UK-listed and large private equity businesses as well as owner managed companies in the region. He specialises in construction and metals, due diligence and financial assistance for transactions and has a particular focus on owner managed businesses in South Yorkshire.
